A Scandal in Bohemia

Growing up I was introduced to Sherlock Holmes, and the mysteries he solved. While I loved the mysteries, I always disliked how the author had Sherlock Holmes look down on the majority of woman in this stories. I wanted to create a piece of work that would modernize the stories while keeping an element of the original mysteries. For these reasons I choose the story A Scandal in Bohemia. This story stands out to me because it was the one time that Sherlock Holmes was outsmarted by the character Irene Adler. I took the first page of text in the book and overlaid the text to create an image of a woman. As the viewer approaches the poster, they can read the text that makes up the image of "The Woman".
